  • Tatiana de Rosnay discusses her book ‘Sarah’s Key’ in this three minute clip. An amazing story about part of history that has been kept secret since the book and the movie: the Vel D’Hiv. During July 16th and 17th of 1942 in Paris, French government officials rounded up approximately 13, 152 Jewish citizens barricaded them in the Vélodrome d’Hiver and Drancy Internment Camp and then sent on trains to Auschwitz. It was until 1995, when Jacques Chirac apologized on behalf of the French government and the French citizens for their role in the raid.
